North Carolina Law... Felony Embezzlement?

I just graduated college with a finance degree and I can't get a job because a little over a year ago (junior year) I went to trial for a Embezzlement (felony) case and it was reduced to a larceny (misdemeanor). The larceny charge wouldn't be an issue except that for when someone pulls my background check it comes up saying "embezzlement (felony)" and that it was amended to larceny (misdemeanor). Is there any possible way to get the felony off of my background check so I can get employed again?
