In my opinion, you didn't handle the situation at all well; she made a mistake and she knows it, and she probably also knows that "if it weren't for the kid", you'd drop her like a hot rock. You need to think seriously about whether or not you want to end the relationship over ONE mistake. (And you'd better hope YOU never make one).
